Causal Research Design

Seeks to answer the question: "Does the occurrence or change of X cause the occurrence or change of Y?" For example, a company measuring the impact of a new advertising campaign on sales, or a researcher testing whether feelings of exclusion increase social media addiction might adopt this design.
